Around 2400 patients got treated in various hospitals under Awami Endowment Fund during 2024
QUETTA: The Parliamentary Secretary for Social Welfare Department, Wali Muhammad Noorzai has stated that hundreds of the poor patients were treated through Balochistan Awami Endowment Fund (BEEF) during year 2024 because of the special endeavours made by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
The Parliamentary Secretary for Social Welfare said that the patients were treated in government and private hospitals of the country including Quetta.
The patients are included those suffering from cancer, kidney transplant, cardiac diseases and different other diseases.
According to Wali Muhammad Notezai, the treatment of patients cost Rs. 393.566 million, which were paid by the provincial government.
The patients treated outside Quetta were included: 126 patients of cancer, 14 patients of ENT diseases, 19 of kidney transplant, 32 of lever transplant, seven of Thalsemia and eight of heart diseases.
In all 2200 patients were provided treatment in Bolan Medical Complex Hospital and CENAR costing Rs. 130 million.
