Visit of KPK Business Delegation to SIFC
A business delegation, representing various segments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, visited the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) to discuss matters related to business community of the province.
The delegation comprised of Ms Sumaira Khan, CEO GAIA International Pvt Ltd, Mr Farhad Asfandyar, CEO STARCo Pvt Ltd, Mr Afan Aziz, CEO AJ Textiles Mills Ltd, Mr Jehangir Saifullah, CEO Saif Energy Ltd, Mr Fuad Ishaq, Member Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Mr Shafique Ur Rehman, CEO RMI, Mr Shafiq Afridi, CEO Axis Mall, Mr Yasir Masood, CEO Cherat Cement and Mr Iskander Khan, CEO Premier Sugar Mills.
The delegation was welcomed by the senior leadership of SIFC, and a comprehensive meeting was conducted to deliberate upon important policy matters related to diverse sectors including Industries (Cement, Textile, Packaging, Sugar, Oil & Gas, Auto etc), IT, Energy, Tourism, Health and Education.
The forum dilated upon the issues being faced by the business community of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and reaffirmed commitments for industrial growth and trade expansion by mitigating challenges and capitalizing on comparative advantages and opportunities.
The delegation showed great confidence in SIFC for its significant contributions towards macro-economic stability and improvement in investment ecosystem.
The forum urged all the federal and provincial stakeholders for a sustained engagement and collaboration through the platform of SIFC to develop consensus and drive impactful solutions for the betterment of country’s economy.
The activity provided an excellent opportunity for interaction between SIFC and the business community of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and will help catalyse industrial development.
