Ghalanai: Feb 25. A grand meeting was held with eminent scholars and mashaikhs from across the district under the chairmanship of District Police Officer Mohmand Ikramullah Khan (PSP) in view of the holy month of Ramadan and the current situation.
The meeting was attended by SP Investigation Mohmand Sanaullah, Circle DSPs, SHOs and renowned scholars of the area.
During the meeting, DPO Mohmand highlighted the ongoing operation against the increasing drug trafficking, usury, poppy cultivation, high prices and other social evils in the district and appealed to the scholars to play their role in raising awareness among the public.
He clarified that strict action will be taken against theft, drug trafficking, speeding of transporters, high prices and arbitrary prices of butchers during the holy month of Ramadan.
On this occasion, scholars and public representatives assured full cooperation with the police and promised to provide all possible help to eradicate crimes.
DPO Mohmand Ikramullah said that the police is always ready to protect the lives and property of the people and all possible steps will be taken to make the district crime-free.
