After the Balochistan Incident, Jaffar Express Resumes Operations After 16 Days on the Special Instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif

Federal Minister Engineer Amir Maqam Flagged Off the Train from Peshawar Cantt Railway Station

Peshawar: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan, and SAFRON, Engineer Amir Maqam, flagged off the train from Peshawar Cantt Railway Station.

This train had faced a terrorist attack on March 11, after which its service was suspended. However, after 16 days, it has resumed its journey from Peshawar Cantt Railway Station.

Speaking to the media at the departure of the train, Federal Minister Engineer Amir Maqam said that terrorists and anti-Pakistan forces will not be allowed to succeed in their attempts to disrupt life. He emphasized that daily activities and normal life will continue.

Federal Minister Amir Maqam stated that it was Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s wish to restore Jaffar Express’s service to Quetta, and now the train has departed from Peshawar.

He further said that terrorism is a national issue, and peace is essential for everything to function smoothly. Unfortunately, a certain group has different priorities. A specific faction is using Pakistan’s resources against the country itself.

He added that the terrorists’ plans will fail, and the process of development in Pakistan and Balochistan will continue. The federal minister expressed his happiness that Jaffar Express is running again, calling it a symbol of the country’s progress.

Engineer Amir Maqam also highlighted the resilience of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa against terrorism, affirming that the fight against this menace will persist. He further informed that security for all railway trains has been improved.

In response to a question, the federal minister accused the provincial government of distributing a hefty sum of 10 billion rupees under the guise of Ramadan and Eid packages to their loyalists for post-Eid political activities.

He said they should learn from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who ensured that the Ramadan package reached deserving individuals at their doorstep in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A total of 5 billion rupees were distributed to the needy without any political discrimination or publicity.

Regarding the opposition, he stated that instead of launching a movement for an individual, they should have campaigned against terrorism. However, like in the past, their efforts will fail, and the government will continue addressing public issues.

The federal minister remarked that in just one year, the current government, under Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, has achieved the impossible, with economic stability being a top priority.

The recent agreement with the IMF is also a sign of economic stability.

He concluded by thanking the media for their early morning coverage and the public for their enthusiastic participation.
