March, 29, 2025: Awami Tehreek has strongly condemned the suicide attack at a public gathering of Akhtar Mengal, leader of the Balochistan National Party (BNP), in Mastung.

In a joint press statement, Awami Tehreek’s Central President Advocate Vasand Thari, Central General Secretary Advocate Sajid Hussain Mahesar, Central Vice President Hoorunnisa Palijo, and Abdul Qadir Ranto stated that the government is constitutionally responsible for ensuring the security of peaceful assemblies, protests, and public gatherings. They emphasized that it is the state’s duty to safeguard the lives and property of every citizen.

The leaders blamed the suicide attack at BNP’s gathering on the government’s negligence, accusing it of failing to take the incident seriously. They demanded an immediate investigation into the attack and urged authorities to bring the perpetrators’ facilitators to justice.
