Friday, March 28, ABBOTTABAD: Jumma-tul-Wida, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, was observed today across the Hazara region with religious reverence.
Special prayers were offered for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan and unity of Muslim Ummah during Friday prayers.
The religious scholars and Imams in their sermons highlighted importance of the month of fasting and the Jumma-tul-Wida.
This year Jumma-tul-Wida has coincided with 27th of Ramadan which is being seen as an auspicious occasion.
Meanwhile, youm-ul Quds is also being observed today to express solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian Muslims.
Meanwhile, after prayer the participants of the whole city at Jamia Mosque, Abbottabad city unanimously prayed for the independence of AJ&K Muslims to address the ancient core issue of the Jammu & Kashmiri Muslims to resolve such an ancient issue through plebiscite following the United Nations resolution to decide such issue on the basis of humanitarian grounds keeping in view the majority of Muslim fraternity settled in Indian held Kashmir, instead any delay.
