Ramzan Drive is a great initiative of Sir Syed University

KARACHI, March 26, 2025. Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET), Muhammad Akbar Ali Khan has said that the spiritual dimension of our charitable acts always gives us inner satisfaction. Our acts of kindness and generosity draw us to Allah and we will be rewarded manifold in this blessed month of Ramzan. He was speaking at the Ramzan Drive program held by Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology.
Elaborating further, Chancellor SSUET, Akbar Ali Khan said that the month of Ramzan provides an opportunity to extend our hands and hearts to those in need around us, an opportunity we can seize through our Ramzan Drive. Ramzan is a month that teaches us about sacrifice, empathy, and the importance of sharing our blessings. This month invites us to engage in acts of charity, to uplift those in our communities who are experiencing hunger, poverty, and hardship.
Vice Chancellor SSUET, Dr. Jaffar Nazir Usmani said that Ramzan Drive encourages individuals from diverse backgrounds to collaborate towards a common goal, promoting inclusivity and understanding. The experience of working together to support those in need can lead to lasting friendships and communal support networks.
Chairperson Zakir Ali Khan Foundation, Ms Erum Akbar said that the Ramzan Drive aims to bring all of us together to make a difference through collective efforts. Every single contribution of us can have a lasting impact on someone’s life. The essence of Ramzan is not just refraining from food and drink but cultivating compassion, understanding, and solidarity within our communities. The best of people are those that bring the most benefit to the rest of mankind.
This time, reviving the tradition of eminent scholar, author, and former General Secretary of Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Association, Engr. Muhammad Zakir Ali Khan, Chancellor of Sir Syed University, Muhammad Akbar Ali Khan gave Rs. 3,000 cash per person as eid gift to the employees. Eidee was distributed among 600 employees from Grade 1 to 6. On this occasion, it was also assured that the amount of Eid gift would be increased significantly in the future.
About 410 bags were prepared in the Ramadan drive which were distributed among the deserving people. Alumni of Sir Syed University living in the country and abroad participated enthusiastically in the Ramadan drive. The alumni of Sir Syed University have assured full cooperation in welfare works in the future as well.
