Issue of missing persons can be resolved politically: Balochistan’s issues would not be resolved until resolution of issue of missing persons: Sajid Tareen
Leaders of ANP, NP, PTI, Balochistan Bar Council, Zamindar Action Committee announce support to BNP’s long march, demand release of BYC’s women
QUETTA: The senior leader of Balochistan National Party (BNP) and former Senator, Sajid Tareen Advocate has categorically stated that the issue of missing persons in Balochistan is a political issue and it can be resolved politically.
He said that the issues of Balochistan would not be resolved until and unless the issue of missing persons is resolved.
Besides, the issues of country would also not be resolved as long as the interference would remain continued in the democratic system.
These and similar other views were expressed by the senior leader of BNP while addressing joint press conference with leaders of different opposition parties and Zamindar Action Committee, here at the Quetta Press Club on Friday.
Present on the occasion were the senior leaders of National Party, Kabir Muhammad Shahi and Sardar Kamal Khan Bangulzai, provincial leader of Awami National Party, Abdul Rasheed Nasar, Provincial President of PTI, Dawood Shah Kakar, leader of Balochistan Bar Council, Rahib Khan Buledi, leader of Zamindar Action Committee, Abdul Rehman Bazai, besides others.
They expressed solidarity with the BNP in their struggle for release of the arrested female leaders of Baloch Yakjehti Committee.
Addressing the presser, Sajid Tareen maintained that the peaceful dharna (protest sit-in) of BNP is continued in Mastung.
He said that the protest sit-in would remain continued untill the demands regarding the release of arrested females are met. He said that the issue of missing persons is the biggest issue in Balochistan and it must be resolved. He said that there would be no progress and peace unless the issue of missing persons is resolved.
He said that protest of BYC is their democratic right on arrest of its leaders. He said that our only demand is to release all the arrested females honourably.
He said that we want honourable release of our women and others.
Speaking on the occasion, NP leader Kabir Muhammad Shahi said that the issue of Balochistan is not new, and if it would have been resolved, the situation would not be so critical as it is now.
He said that the issue of Balochistan can’t be resolved by using force, rather it should be resolved by the government showing seriousness.
The PTI provincial President Dawood Shah Kakar condemned the arrest of females and said that it is shameful to arrest them.
He asked the government to mend its way, otherwise situation would get worse.
The ANP leader, Abdul Rasheed Nasar demanded of the government to let BNP President Sardar Akhtar Mengal come in Quetta. He said that ANP supports the long march of BNP and added that it would welcome it in Quetta.
He also demanded of the government to release all the arrested females immediately.
