They said the six new canals and corporate farming initiatives are an attack on the very identity of Sindh. They criticized Khawaja Saad Rafique for promoting the Greater Thal Canal as an implementation of the fascist ideology of Greater Punjab.

The leaders accused the federal government of siding with Punjab and being complicit in injustices against the Sindhi nation. The Punjab government’s water theft has caused severe hardships in Sindh. Compensation should be provided for the damages, and new lands should be allocated to those who lost theirs to the sea.
