Quetta, June 26, 2025 — As part of its ongoing anti-corruption awareness campaign, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan organized a seminar on “Role of Students in Eradication of Corruption” at Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University, Quetta.

The primary objective of the seminar was to raise awareness among youth—particularly female students—about the detrimental effects of corruption and to promote collective efforts for establishing a corruption-free society.

The NAB team, led by Mr. Niaz Hassan, Director A&P, along with other senior officers, engaged with students and faculty, discussing NAB’s vision, mission, and the vital role that students can play in eliminating corruption from society.

During the seminar, NAB officers emphasized the importance of adopting moral standards that embed a strong sense of integrity and anti-corruption values in one’s personality. They reiterated that Islamic teachings stress self-accountability and leave no room for dishonesty or corruption.

Forms of corruption such as nepotism, bribery, influence peddling, extortion, and favoritism were discussed in detail. Officers expressed concern over how these practices have unfortunately become normalized in various segments of society.

A special focus was placed on the unique role of female students as future mothers and nation-builders, highlighting how they can instill values of honesty, integrity, and accountability in future generations from an early age. Students, as active and conscious members of society, were urged to lead by example and contribute meaningfully to the fight against corruption.

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, during which the guest speakers thoughtfully addressed questions raised by both students and faculty.

On the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq lauded the efforts of NAB Balochistan in promoting awareness and assured full cooperation from the university in supporting future anti-corruption initiatives.

The seminar concluded with the exchange of souvenirs, mutual expressions of gratitude, and a vote of thanks by both parties.
