Ensure Full Participation of Workers in Independence Day Celebrations: Sindh Governor
Karachi, July 27, 2025 Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori stressed the importance of the full participation of workers in the “Maarka-e-Haq” Independence Day celebrations, saying that this event symbolizes the renewal of national resolve, unity, and public participation. He said this while meeting a 66-member delegation of the MQM Pakistan Labor Division, led by Rizwan Babar. Senior leaders Dr. Farooq Sattar and Anis Qaimkhani were also present.
The meeting focused on “Maarka-e-Haq” Independence Day celebrations, labor issues, job creation, employee welfare programs, and joint strategies for the future. Tessori urged the participants to ensure the active and organized participation of workers in the Independence Day celebrations and to highlight workforce representation at all levels.
Acknowledging the services of the workers, the Governor said that national development depends on their tireless efforts, and their welfare should be the government’s priority. He promised full cooperation in resolving labor issues. Tessori added that the Governor House is now a symbol of public representation and inclusion, where all citizens, especially workers, are welcome. He envisioned an empowered and prosperous working class actively participating in policy decisions.
The Governor termed the meeting a constructive step towards advancing workers’ rights, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their full participation in national events.
