Lasbela Administration Launches Polio Campaign — Parents Urged to Ensure Full Vaccination

Lasbela, October 13:
The district administration of Lasbela launched the October round of the National Polio Eradication Campaign at the District Headquarters Hospital in Uthal. The campaign was inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner Siraj Ahmed Baloch, who personally administered the first oral drops to children under five.

Speaking on the occasion, ADC Baloch reaffirmed the government’s resolve to make Balochistan completely polio-free. He urged parents to cooperate with field teams, stating that the vaccination of every single child is essential for national health security.

District Health Officer Dr. Abdul Hameed Baloch briefed the media that thousands of children will be vaccinated across urban and rural areas. He added that mobile teams, transit points, and health centers have been fully mobilized to ensure maximum coverage.

Officials have also coordinated with law enforcement to provide security for vaccination teams. Community elders and teachers have been requested to assist in awareness campaigns to counter vaccine hesitancy
