Islamabad, 18 November — The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out four targeted operations across the country, including around major educational institutions, arresting seven suspects, among them one woman, and recovering 17.8 kilograms of drugs valued at over PKR 12.3 million.
Crackdown Around Educational Institutions
In Islamabad, ANF teams intercepted two suspects near Kaak Bridge and recovered 2.4 kilograms of hashish.
In a separate operation near a university in Farooq Azam Colony, Attock, officials seized 400 grams of hashish from a motorcyclist.
According to ANF, the arrested suspects confessed to supplying narcotics to students of nearby educational institutions.
Domestic Drug Interdiction
At the parking area of Allama Iqbal International Airport, ANF personnel confiscated 12 kilograms of weed from two accused. Both individuals were taken into custody.
Inter-Provincial Drug Trafficking Foiled
Near the Motorway Toll Plaza, Islamabad, ANF recovered 3 kilograms of crystal ice from two passengers, including a woman, attempting to transport drugs across provincial lines.
All cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA) 1997, and further investigations are underway, the ANF spokesperson confirmed.
