Loralai, November 20 — Deputy Commissioner Loralai Miran Baloch chaired a meeting to review district security and law-and-order arrangements, in line with Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti’s vision of a drug-free Balochistan.

Police, Special Branch, and law-enforcement officials briefed the meeting on enhanced security measures, including increased personnel at checkposts, snap-checking, restrictions on night transport, and strict monitoring of non-local workers at mega-projects.

The Deputy Commissioner ordered decisive action against drug cultivation, illegal boreholes, Afghan illegal settlers, and poppy growers. Those involved will be placed on the Fourth Schedule and their land confiscated, he warned.

Authorities also reviewed security protocols at educational institutions and local hotels, with emphasis on intelligence sharing and joint operations.
