The forum offered Fateha for the Shuhada of the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies and innocent civilians who lost their lives in recent terrorist incidents. The COAS paid rich tribute to the courage, professionalism and sacrifices of Pakistan’s Armed Forces and appreciated their sustained intelligence-based counter-terrorism operations across the country.
The conference reviewed the prevailing internal and external security situation, focusing on evolving threats and operational preparedness. Participants reaffirmed that terrorists sponsored by India, along with their facilitators, would be dealt with decisively without exception. The forum also rejected any nexus between terrorism, crime and vested political interests, vowing not to allow attempts to undermine national unity or create divisions between the Armed Forces and the public.
The forum appreciated Balochistan Special Development Initiatives and stressed the need for similar public-centric measures elsewhere under the National Action Plan. It reiterated Pakistan’s support for Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, humanitarian access, and a viable path to Palestinian statehood.
In concluding remarks, the COAS directed commanders to maintain high operational readiness and expressed confidence in the Army’s ability to counter all spectrum threats.
