Quetta, January 5, 2026:
Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has stated that Indian atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir continue unabated, depriving Kashmiris of their internationally recognized right to self-determination.
In a message issued on Kashmir Right to Self-Determination Day, the chief minister recalled that the United Nations acknowledged this right 77 years ago, yet Kashmiris remain denied justice. In a post on X, he condemned ongoing human rights violations and termed the silence of the international community deeply regrettable.
CM Bugti reaffirmed that the people and government of Balochistan stand firmly with the Kashmiri people and will continue to extend moral and diplomatic support for their legitimate struggle.
He stressed that a just and peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute, in accordance with UN resolutions, is essential for lasting peace and stability in the region.
