Balochistan Renames Police Station, School After Shaheed Major Anwar Kakar

Quetta, January 16, 2026: Acting on the directive of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the provincial government has renamed Khrotabad Police Station as Shaheed Major Anwar Kakar Police Station, while a government TB Sanatorium School in Quetta has also been renamed in honor of the fallen officer. Formal notifications have been issued, and the decision was implemented on the same day as the announcement.
The chief minister stated that martyrs are national heroes whose sacrifices must be remembered permanently. He emphasized that honoring those who laid down their lives for national security is a fundamental responsibility of the state. Mir Sarfraz Bugti reiterated the government’s commitment to the families of martyrs, stating that arrangements for the higher education of their children are already in place.
He further said that the sacrifices of officers like Shaheed Major Anwar Kakar have contributed significantly to peace and stability in the country. The chief minister added that educating future generations about the courage and services of national heroes is essential for preserving national values and unity.—:::::::::::::::::
