Independent Report
Quetta, Jan 27 : Adviser to Chief Minister of Balochistan for the Women Development Department Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi on Tuesday welcomed the induction of female police officers into key assignments across all districts of the Naseerabad Range, terming it a landmark development in the province’s policing history.
In a formal statement, she voiced strong appreciation for the decision to place women in crucial positions including Complaint Officers, Deputy Moharrirs and Computer Operators, saying the move demonstrated the provincial government’s full confidence in the competence, integrity and professionalism of women officers.
Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi said the presence of women in these roles would significantly improve the atmosphere at police stations, making them safer, more respectful and more supportive for women who approach law enforcement with complaints.
She observed that female police personnel are particularly well placed to handle delicate matters such as domestic violence cases and local disputes, as they can engage with complainants with heightened sensitivity, understanding and efficiency.
Highlighting the broader significance of the initiative, she said it clearly showed that the daughters of Balochistan are fully capable of performing demanding public duties, working alongside male colleagues in uniform to uphold law and order and serve the community.
The Adviser praised Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti for his forward-looking approach, describing the appointments as a concrete and meaningful step toward women’s empowerment in the province.
She added that ensuring equal opportunities for women is central to the government’s reform agenda, noting that such measures would not only strengthen the police force but also enhance public confidence in law enforcement institutions.
Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi also acknowledged the role of the IG Police Balochistan and DIG Naseerabad, commending their efforts in translating this progressive vision into action.
