PML-N President Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz met Iranian Ambassador Dr Reza Amiri Moghaddam to discuss strengthening Pakistan-Iran relations. The meeting focused on bilateral cooperation in trade, energy, investment, and regional developments. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening diplomatic, economic, and people-to-people ties.
Maryam Nawaz invited Iranian investors to explore opportunities in Pakistan, particularly in agriculture, information technology, and tourism. Ambassador Moghaddam conveyed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar for continued cooperation. Nawaz Sharif emphasized dialogue as the most effective tool for resolving complex regional issues. The Iranian envoy described Pakistan and Iran as “two bodies with one soul,” highlighting Nawaz Sharif’s role in promoting unity in the Muslim world.
