JACOBABAD: A District and Sessions Court has sentenced two men to 14 years in prison each and imposed a fine of Rs500,000 each after they were found guilty of possessing five kilograms of hashish. According to police, the convicts, Abdul Jabbar Manjho and Siraj Ahmed, were arrested by City Police in 2024 and later convicted after trial. Failure to pay the fine will result in an additional five months’ imprisonment.

Residents also voiced anger over up to 12 hours of unannounced load shedding, alleging unfair power cuts despite official claims of reduced outages.
