Balochistan Government Begins Immediate Implementation of Agreement with Dharna Committee, Public Institutions to Be Named After Ziarat Martyrs

QUETTA, July 17: The Government of Balochistan has initiated immediate implementation of the agreement reached with the Dharna Committee, acting on the directives of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti. As part of the first phase, several public buildings, police stations, educational institutions and health facilities in Ziarat district will be renamed in honour of security personnel who embraced martyrdom while fighting terrorism.

Official directives have been issued by the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister to the Home, Education and Health departments, instructing them to complete the renaming process and obtain approval from the competent authorities.

Under the decision, Police Station Sarmaksi will be renamed after Shaheed Hasratullah Kakar, Police Station Dosarka Shabozai after Shaheed Jandad Khan, Police Station Mangi after Shaheed Zainullah Panizai, and Police Station Zandra after Shaheed Major Zaman Panizai. Three government schools and two health facilities in Ziarat will also be named after martyred police personnel in recognition of their sacrifices.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said the government was fully committed to implementing every clause of the agreement and honouring the promises made to the families of the martyrs. He said those who sacrificed their lives for the defence of the country, restoration of peace and protection of citizens would always remain a source of pride for the nation. Naming public institutions after the martyrs, he added, would preserve their legacy and inspire future generations with their courage, patriotism and dedication to duty.

The Chief Minister reaffirmed that the Balochistan government would continue taking all necessary measures for the welfare of the martyrs’ families and ensure the timely implementation of all commitments made under the agreement.
