Sonmiani-Windar, September 29 – In a landmark move for public relief, Assistant Commissioner (AC) Windar, Rizwan Qadir, has initiated the long-awaited construction of a bus stop and passenger shelter at LG Mor, Windar.
For decades, passengers were forced to wait under the scorching sun, heavy rain, and dust, with women, students, and the elderly facing the greatest hardship. The new facility is expected to provide a safe, dignified, and comfortable waiting area for commuters.
Speaking to the media, AC Rizwan Qadir Memon said:
> “This is not just a bus stop, it is a symbol of public dignity and comfort. Our mothers and sisters had to wait under the open sky, which was a matter of shame for any civilized society. My goal is to complete this project within a week and hand it over to the public.”
He further emphasized that his office is a public trust, vowing to continue addressing the issues of Windar’s residents with dedication.
The initiative has been widely welcomed by the local community, who praised AC Rizwan Qadir’s efforts and expressed hope that more welfare projects will soon follow in Windar
