Gilgit, Oct 2, : Karakoram International University organized an orientation session for new students of the Department of Linguistics and Literature. Vice Chancellor Dr. Attaullah Shah presided as chief guest, accompanied by senior academic and administrative officials.

In his address, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the spiritual bond between teachers and students and urged students to focus on their studies. He highlighted the importance of analytical thinking, communication skills, and professional growth, stating that the department offers numerous career opportunities while shaping students’ personalities.

Director Academics Dr. Sajjad and Dean Dr. Sadiq Hussain addressed the students, emphasizing university life as a critical phase for personal and professional development. Faculty members provided detailed briefings on resources, courses, and programs, while Head of Department Dr. Sajid Hussain Toori noted that such sessions help students quickly acclimate to the university environment and nurture creative skills.
