Mega Water Supply Project Laid in Goth Haji Abdul Sattar Khosa to Provide Safe Drinking Water
Parliamentary Secretary for S&GAD, Engineer Abdul Majeed Badini, alongside Deputy Commissioner Jaffarabad Khalid Khan, laid the foundation stone of a mega water supply scheme in Goth Haji Abdul Sattar Khosa, aimed at delivering clean and safe drinking water to over 120,000 residents.
The project, funded with PKR 30 crore from Parliamentary Secretary Abdul Majeed Badini’s special funds, includes:
Two raw water tanks
Two filtration water tanks
One storage tank
One overhead tank capable of storing 100,000 gallons of water
This will be the largest overhead water tank in the Nasirabad Division, ensuring efficient water distribution to the eastern areas of Dera Allah Yar city, including Karam Shah, Bhatti Mohalla, Bagan Shah, and Baba A-1 City.
Local notable Sardar Dawood Khan Khosa provided 6 acres of land free of cost for the project. Deputy Commissioner Khalid Khan highlighted that the scheme will alleviate severe water shortages faced by residents during the summer.
Engineer Badini emphasized that the project is a public service initiative, not a favor, and pledged that citizens will no longer face basic water-related hardships. All officials of the Public Health Engineering Department have been directed to monitor the project closely and ensure timely completion.
