Abdul Razaq Sasoli, the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of Khuzdar, officially assumed his duties on Monday. His appointment has been welcomed by public and social circles, with citizens expressing hope that the new DC will take practical and effective measures to address the district’s long-standing issues.
Khuzdar has long faced multiple administrative, economic, and social challenges, including prolonged internet outages, artificial inflation, illegal encroachments, soaring prices of Iranian petrol, severe electricity load-shedding, and rising crime rates. Residents report growing concerns over drug trafficking, theft, and deteriorating law and order, making daily life increasingly difficult.
The growing influence of the land mafia and the spike in criminal activities have further unsettled the public. Meanwhile, the condition of Khuzdar’s only government hospital—marked by negligence of doctors, shortage of medicines, and poor sanitation—has intensified citizens’ difficulties.
In the education sector, the district continues to lag, with shortages of teachers, poor infrastructure, and lack of facilities negatively affecting academic standards. Private schools are reportedly overcharging, while limited employment opportunities are leaving youth disheartened and viewing job prospects as highly unequal.
Residents also highlighted public health concerns, pointing to poor food quality and hygiene issues in hotels and restaurants as pressing matters requiring administrative attention.
The public’s expectation is that Deputy Commissioner Abdul Razaq Sasoli will prioritize solving citizens’ problems, make the administration proactive and effective, and lay the groundwork for tangible improvements in Khuzdar.
Khuzdar residents welcome DC Sasoli with optimism, hoping his leadership will usher in a new era of transparency, discipline, and citizen-focused governance in the district.
