Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Meets PSL Franchise Owner Ali Tareen to Discuss Sports Development

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, received prominent businessman and Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise owner Ali Tareen at the Governor House in Peshawar today.

During the meeting, Ali Tareen lauded the Governor for initiating the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Awards, describing it as a landmark step in recognizing and nurturing the province’s sporting talent. He highlighted the awards as a historic effort to promote and encourage young athletes.

Discussions also focused on hosting PSL matches in Peshawar. Governor Kundi emphasized the importance of providing provincial athletes with sponsorship and support to enhance their skills through collaboration with the Governor House.

“The talented youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are making a name for themselves locally, nationally, and internationally. Hosting PSL and international cricket events in the province is crucial for their growth,” the Governor said, adding that developing sports infrastructure in the region can also promote peace and community engagement.
