Hub, September 18: Deputy Commissioner Hub Ismail Ibrahim has said
that all relevant institutions will take coordinated action to protect
water resources and eliminate their illegal use in the district.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of the
District Water Committee in Hub. The meeting was attended by XEN
Irrigation Hussain Zahri, XEN Public Health Engineering (PHE) Balach
Aamir, Assistant Commissioner Winder Rizwan Qadir, Assistant
Commissioner Hub Mahim Gichki, Assistant Commissioner Dureji Saif Ali
Mughal, Deputy Director Agriculture Shahid Roonjha, and SDO PHE
Mansoor Bizenjo.
During the meeting, the chair briefed participants on the rules and
regulations of the District Water Committee and emphasized the
importance of efficient and equitable use of water resources. A
comprehensive action plan was formulated to initiate action against
illegal bores and tube wells operating in the district.
The deputy commissioner assigned specific responsibilities to all
concerned officers and directed them to present progress reports in
the next meeting. He reiterated that protecting water resources is a
collective responsibility and strict measures will be taken to ensure
their sustainable use.
