Islamabad, 22 December 2025: Islamabad Police successfully traced and arrested the main suspects involved in the kidnapping and murder of Sarfraz within hours of the incident. Following the crime, the victim’s body was discovered hidden inside a concrete pipe. The primary suspect, Jumma Khan, along with his accomplice Waqas, committed the murder over a personal dispute. Authorities also recovered the murder weapon from the suspects.
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq stated that under the supervision of SP Sawan Zone Khurram Ashraf, specialized investigation teams including SHO Hamk and forensic experts were deployed to ensure swift arrests. Legal processes are being strictly followed to ensure that the suspects face appropriate punishment. The victim was employed as a private security guard.
In a separate development, a Christmas celebration was organized at Police Lines Headquarters for police officers belonging to the Christian community. The event was attended by IG Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, DIG Headquarters, AIG Logistics, and senior police officers. The Christian officers were presented with gifts, and a ceremonial cake-cutting was held. IG Rizvi highlighted the community’s vital contribution to national development and emphasized that Christmas embodies love, brotherhood, and service to humanity.
Meanwhile, cases related to pharmacy robberies were immediately registered by Police Station Khanna, and thorough investigations have been launched. Authorities reiterated that citizens’ safety and protection of property remains a top priority. Any negligence or involvement by officers in criminal lapses will face strict disciplinary action.
