Peshawar, December 31, 2025: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has ordered the provincial transport department to complete the printing of over 117,000 pending driving license cards within one month.
According to the official schedule, district authorities have been instructed to ensure timely delivery. In Hazara Division, printing will be completed by the first week of January 2026, while Malakand Division’s pending licenses for Swat, Dir, and Buner are expected by mid‑January. Peshawar Division licenses will be distributed from January 23 to 26, Kohat Division by January 29, and Bannu, Mardan, and D.I. Khan divisions by January 30.
Chief Secretary Sohail Afridi stressed that efficient public service remains the government’s top priority and warned that delays or negligence would not be tolerated.
The initiative aims to streamline license issuance, reduce administrative backlogs, and ensure faster access to essential transport services for citizens across the province.
