LQUETTA, Jan 02: The Balochistan government has launched a Pink Bus Service for women and female students as part of its New Year initiatives aimed at ensuring safe, dignified and affordable public transport across the province.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said the service is designed to facilitate women’s daily mobility, enabling easier access to education, employment and healthcare facilities. He emphasized that providing a secure transport system for women remains a key component of the provincial government’s reform agenda.
The chief minister stated that the Pink Bus Service will be operated on a permanent basis and expanded to other districts in the next phase. He added that empowering women through practical measures is a priority of the provincial government.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti shared these views in a message posted on social media platform X, reaffirming the government’s commitment to women’s safety and inclusion in public life.
