Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police carried out multiple operations across different areas of the city, arresting four suspects involved in car theft and other crimes, and recovering stolen vehicles, mobile phones, liquor, and gutka-related items.
City Police arrested Junaid Qureshi in a car theft case and recovered a stolen Suzuki Cultus along with 11 stolen mobile phones. In a separate action, Pinyari Police detained Farhan Qureshi and seized four bottles of liquor, registering a case under the Hudood Ordinance. Hali Road Police recovered a stolen Toyota Corolla abandoned near the vegetable market and took it into custody.
Meanwhile, GOR Police arrested Yaseen Jamali with 135 packets of mainpuri and registered a case under the Gutka and Mainpuri Act. Fort Police also arrested Moeen Sheikh and recovered five bottles of liquor.
Police officials stressed the need to strengthen internal accountability, eliminate corruption, and provide better facilities to professional officers to ensure more effective and sustainable action against criminal elements.
