NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Meets EU Ambassador, Discusses Bilateral Ties and Parliamentary Cooperation

Islamabad: Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Tuesday met European Union Ambassador to Pakistan Raimundas Karoblis at the Parliament House, where both sides held detailed discussions on strengthening Pakistan–EU relations and enhancing cooperation across various sectors.
The Speaker warmly welcomed the EU envoy and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further deepening cordial ties with the European Union. The meeting focused on expanding bilateral cooperation, promoting investment opportunities, and exchanging views on key regional and global developments.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq emphasized the importance of parliamentary diplomacy, noting that stronger inter-parliamentary links between Pakistan and EU member states can play a vital role in fostering mutual understanding and cooperation. He also expressed best wishes for peace and stability in Europe, particularly calling for a peaceful resolution of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Ambassador Raimundas Karoblis congratulated Pakistan on retaining its GSP+ status and expressed keen interest in further expanding EU-Pakistan cooperation. He praised the contribution of the Pakistani diaspora in EU countries and lauded the Speaker’s role in promoting democratic values and conducting National Assembly proceedings in a fair and impartial manner.
