Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) continues to carry out effective drone operations across the province using advanced, technology-enabled drones for real-time crime monitoring. Over the past 24 hours, drone surveillance identified multiple violations including crime hotspots, kite flying, open manholes, encroachments, illegal parking, smog and environmental pollution. Timely actions were taken by the relevant departments in response to these violations.
According to a Safe City spokesperson, carrying out drone surveillance within the jurisdiction of Raiwind City Police Station, violations of Anti-Kite Flying Act were identified and reported. Similarly, drone monitoring in Raiwind and surrounding areas detected smoke emissions from local factories, prompting immediate action by the authorities concerned.
In response to a call received on 15, the Safe City drone team provided a prompt response to a fire incident at Faisal Bank, Shah Alam Market and carried out joint operations in coordination with rescue services. In Multan, drone surveillance identified smoke emissions from brick kilns, leading to immediate legal action by the relevant departments. Additionally, monitoring of crime hotspots in Multan resulted in the identification of suspicious activities. In Gujrat, drone monitoring at Prince Chowk detected illegal parking and the traffic police were immediately informed. Meanwhile, Safe City Sialkot identified crime hotspots and other civic issues during drone surveillance at Syedan Road, Marakiwal and Kalma Chowk.
In Murree, drone surveillance helped identify traffic routes affected by snowfall, and all critical points were promptly cleared. Similarly, drone operations in Okara and Dera Ghazi Khan resulted in the identification of crime hotspots and traffic violations. According to a Safe City spokesperson, drone surveillance plays a vital role in timely identification of suspicious activities, crime tracing and crime prevention. Safe City drones remain committed to ensuring public safety, reducing crime, and providing effective support to law enforcement agencies, and will continue to play a key role in this regard in future as well.
