Quetta, January 31:
Provincial Minister and senior political leader Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran has paid glowing tribute to the police and security forces for successfully thwarting recent terrorist attempts in various parts of Balochistan, describing their timely and effective response as a decisive setback to anti-state and anti-peace elements.
In a statement issued here, Khetran said the simultaneous targeting of multiple cities was aimed at creating instability, spreading fear among the public and sabotaging the law and order situation in the province. However, he added, law enforcement agencies foiled the nefarious designs through swift, coordinated and highly professional action.
He praised the police and security forces for demonstrating exceptional courage, professionalism and an unparalleled spirit of sacrifice, stating that their resolute response had sent a clear message that there is no place in Balochistan for those who seek to undermine peace. He said the effective strategy and sustained operations of the security institutions had dealt a severe blow to terrorist networks, leaving hostile elements in a state of frustration and panic.
The provincial minister expressed profound grief over the martyrdom of 10 police and security personnel in the tragic incidents and extended heartfelt condolences and solidarity to the bereaved families. He said the nation would always honour the supreme sacrifices of its brave sons and that the blood of the martyrs would never go in vain.
Strongly condemning attempts to damage public property and create fear among citizens, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran reaffirmed that the provincial government, in close coordination with the police and security agencies, would continue to utilize all available resources to ensure lasting peace, stability and security across Balochistan.
