Lahore, Feb 1:
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Saturday inaugurated the Danish School Mankera and formally launched the CM School Meal Program at Government Primary School Kisanwala in Bhakkar district.
The chief minister announced the upgradation of three schools in Mankera, with immediate issuance of notifications. She distributed lunch boxes among students, visited classrooms, and interacted warmly with children.
CM Maryam Nawaz also toured the Danish School’s computer lab and library, later joining students for lunch and celebrating the birthdays of three hostel residents at the girls’ campus. Emphasising education, she urged students to work hard and never fear challenges, stating that daughters excelling in every field was a source of pride.
Officials briefed the chief minister that over 13,000 students are enrolled in 20 Danish Schools across Punjab, while the School Meal Program is operational in 8,319 schools across 13 districts.
