Khuzdar, February 18, 2026 – A historic step toward economic independence for women was taken in Khuzdar with the formal establishment of the Women Business Forum at Umar Farooq Chowk and Double Road. The forum provides a secure, dignified, and women-only environment where female entrepreneurs can expand their businesses, network, and strengthen their economic standing.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar Abdul Razzaq Sasoli, who officially opened the forum by cutting the ribbon. The event was attended by Manager Women Development Department Khuzdar Rubina Kareem Shahwani, President Anjuman Tajran Khuzdar Hafiz Hamidullah Mengal, Deputy Mayor Khuzdar Jamil Qadir Zehri, Sports Officer Khuzdar Raqia Ubaid, Lucky Builder Abdul Latif Shahwani, Ayub Baloch, and a large gathering of women and community members.
In his address, Abdul Razzaq Sasoli highlighted the immense talent and potential of Khuzdar’s women. He said the forum will serve as a key platform to empower women economically, create business opportunities, and provide a safe, clean, and respectful environment for their professional growth.
Rubina Kareem Shahwani emphasized that the forum marks a milestone in promoting women’s economic self-reliance in Balochistan. She stated that the department is committed to providing training, skill development, and business opportunities, along with support systems and mentorship programs to ensure women can expand their ventures and reach broader markets.
Hafiz Hamidullah Mengal noted that the trader community has consistently supported women entrepreneurs, and the forum will play a vital role in strengthening Khuzdar’s local economy by facilitating market access and other resources.
Deputy Mayor Jamil Qadir Zehri described the initiative as a beacon of hope, underlining that it will foster both economic and social progress for women in the city.
The newly launched Women Business Forum is expected to become a pivotal platform for empowering women, enhancing regional development, and contributing to the city’s economic growth. Participants lauded the initiative and expressed optimism that it would achieve significant success in the near future.
