In a major breakthrough, Mastung and Quetta police conducted a joint operation and dismantled a dangerous gang involved in highway robberies while impersonating government officials.
Police arrested all six members of the organized group and recovered two pistols, four Kalashnikovs, one American M4 rifle, one Saiga .223 rifle, three fake number plates, masks, and wireless aerial equipment. According to officials, the suspects were also involved in multiple vehicle-snatching incidents, including two cases registered within the limits of Wali Khan Police Station.
The gang was intercepted during an attempted robbery of an oil-loaded rickshaw. During the attempted escape, one suspect was injured after colliding with an oncoming vehicle.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Sanaullah Babar, Muhammad Akram, Faqeer Muhammad, Mir Imam Bakhsh, Daulat, and Muzammil. SSP Allah Bakhsh Baloch termed the operation a significant success, stating that criminals would not be allowed to evade the law and further revelations are expected during the investigation.
The operation has been widely appreciated by the public, reinforcing confidence in the police’s commitment to combating organized crime.
