Karachi: A gas cylinder explosion during Sehri in the Soldier Bazaar area of Karachi has left one person dead and at least ten others injured, rescue officials confirmed. The incident occurred in Gul Rana Colony, where the blast caused severe structural damage to a three-storey residential building.

Authorities reported that the roof of the building collapsed following the explosion, trapping several residents under the rubble. Rescue teams and emergency service 1122 personnel reached the site immediately and launched a search and recovery operation. The body of a 60-year-old man was retrieved and shifted to a nearby hospital, along with ten injured individuals receiving medical treatment.

Rescue officials stated that efforts were ongoing to ensure no one remained trapped beneath the debris. The explosion has raised fresh concerns over gas cylinder safety standards in densely populated residential areas of Karachi.
