Quetta, February 23, 2026: Lawmakers in the Balochistan Assembly protested gas load-shedding during Ramadan, citing public hardship.
MPA Abdul Majeed Badini demanded that the General Manager of Sui Southern Gas Company be summoned over prolonged outages in Jaffarabad and other districts. The Speaker assured the House action would be taken.
Provincial Minister Saleem Khosa said officials had been called multiple times without resolution. Lawmaker Ghazala Gola warned that gas outages during Sehri and Iftar were causing serious difficulties for residents.
