Swat: Tourists visiting Swat during the holiday season have raised serious concerns over poor facilities and alleged mismanagement at Grand Season Hotel Swat.
According to the affected tourists, three rooms were booked; however, the condition of the accommodation was reportedly highly unsatisfactory. The tourists alleged that basic amenities, such as towels, soap, and other necessities, were missing. They further stated that beds were provided without bed sheets, with only dirty mattresses, and overall cleanliness was extremely poor.
The tourists alleged that despite full payment at the reception, they were not provided appropriate facilities. Furthermore, during load shedding, the hotel failed to provide any backup power arrangements, leaving guests struggling through the night without electricity. Despite multiple complaints, no hotel staff reportedly responded or took effective action.
The tourists have called on district administration and the tourism department to enforce strict oversight on hotels, holding not only the hotel management but also the tourism officials accountable for preventing exploitation of tourists at these destinations.
