NASEERABAD:

Commissioner Naseerabad Division Salahuddin Noorzai on Friday described the revival of non-functional schools as a significant milestone in expanding access to education and reducing illiteracy in Balochistan, urging newly appointed teachers to perform their responsibilities with dedication and professionalism.

The commissioner made these remarks while distributing appointment orders to 11 newly recruited male and female teachers under the third phase of the school activation programme aimed at restoring closed educational institutions across the division.

The appointment ceremony was held in line with the vision of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and the directives of Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan to strengthen the public education system and bring non-operational schools back into service. Deputy Commissioner Varender Lal, SSP Asad Nasir, Divisional Director Schools Abdul Wase Kakar and District Education Officer Hafeezullah Khoso also attended the event and distributed appointment orders among the successful candidates.

Addressing the newly appointed teachers, Noorzai said educators play a vital role in shaping the future of the nation and must uphold the highest standards of integrity, commitment and professionalism while imparting quality education to students.

He said the divisional administration would closely monitor the performance of newly appointed teachers to ensure schools remain fully functional, student attendance improves and teaching standards continue to rise.

The commissioner urged the teachers to work with sincerity and contribute actively to strengthening the public education system, adding that quality education and committed teachers were indispensable for overcoming illiteracy and building a brighter future for the younger generation.

Reaffirming the administration’s commitment to the provincial government’s education reforms, Noorzai said the restoration of previously closed schools would enhance educational opportunities and provide improved learning facilities for children across Naseerabad District.
