Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has reaffirmed that women’s economic empowerment remains a key component of the provincial government’s development agenda, pledging continued support for initiatives that enhance entrepreneurial skills, digital literacy and sustainable employment opportunities for women.
In a message shared on the social media platform X, the chief minister congratulated 500 women who successfully completed the first phase of the Balochistan Women Entrepreneurship Development Programme.
Bugti said the provincial government was committed to equipping women with modern business skills, digital tools and opportunities for self-employment, enabling them to become financially independent and play a greater role in the province’s economic development.
Describing the programme as a significant milestone, he noted that participants from across Balochistan had received comprehensive training in entrepreneurship, business planning, marketing and the effective use of digital technologies to establish and expand their own enterprises.
He said such initiatives would strengthen women’s participation in economic activities while contributing to household incomes and the broader economy of both Balochistan and Pakistan.
The chief minister expressed confidence in the capabilities and potential of women, stating that the government would continue to provide a supportive environment, institutional assistance and greater opportunities to help them succeed in business and professional fields.
He reiterated the government’s resolve to broaden similar programmes focused on entrepreneurship, vocational skills and employment so that more women from every district of the province could benefit in the coming years.
Bugti also congratulated Adviser to the Chief Minister on Women Development Dr Rubaba Khan Buledi, the Women Development Department and all institutions involved in implementing the initiative, appreciating their efforts to promote women’s economic empowerment and expressing hope that such programmes would pave the way for greater financial independence, entrepreneurship and sustainable development across Balochistan.
