QUETTA: The process of issuance and submission of the nomination papers got underway for the bye-elections on general seats of the local governments in Balochistan.
According to an official press release of the Election Commission of Pakistan, the bye-elections are scheduled to be held on 202 seats of general councilors in 33 districts of the province on January 26, 2025.
The nomination papers could be submitted by December 20, 2024, mentioned in the press release of ECP.
The preliminary list of contesting candidates is scheduled to be published on December 21 while the final list of candidates would be displayed on January 6, 2025.
The election symbols would also be allotted the same day i.e., January 6, 20245.
