Govt. making utmost endeavours to find durable solution to issues of higher educational institutions: Nosherwani

QUETTA: The Chairman Universities Finance Commission Balochistan and Provincial Minister Finance, Mir Shoaib Nosherwani has stated that our government attaches top priority to promotion of education and as such it is well aware of the issues being faced by the higher educational institutions. This is why, it is our utmost endeavour to find durable solution to the issues of higher educational institutions so that they may perform their duties.
Mir Shoaib Nosherwani was co-chairing the meeting of Universities Finance Commission with the Provincial Minister for Education, Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani here on Tuesday.
The Secretary Finance, Imran Khan Zarkoon, Special Secretary Finance, Jehangir Kakar and the Vice Chancellors of all public sector universities were in attendance.
The Minister Finance urged the participants to form a committee for payment of the salaries and pensions of the employees and pensioners of the universities and submit recommendations on the current situation so as to devise strategy for sustainable solution to the financial issues on long term and short term basis.
The Minister Education Ms Raheela Hameed Durrani on the occasion said that our government is taking concrete steps for promotion of the higher education remaining in the available resources.
He said that no conscious person can deny the importance of science and information technology.
Both the ministers vowed to bring more improvement in the performance of universities of the province.
Meanwhile, all the participants were agreed upon separate DDOs for the sub campuses of universities.
