QUETTA: The Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has stated that it is responsibility of the provincial government to maintain law and order besides ensuring it’s writ, therefore, Section 144 has been enforced in the public interest.
Speaking to the local media persons during his visit to Khan Garh Jamali in Jaffarabad district on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said that the general public face hardships and problems due to the blockade of highways. He said that it is responsibility of the government to facilitate the passengers especially sick people, children and women.
He said that elections are also being held in two constituencies of the province, so the Section 144 has been enforced keeping in view the prevailing circumstances of the province.
To a query, the Chief Minister said that the challenge of terrorism is bigger, however, it is issue of the whole country, not merely of the increasing terrorism.
He said that every possible steps would be taken to fulfill the responsibility of law and order in the province.
