IG, NHMP, RIFFAT MUKHTAR RAJA VISIT TO THE SOUTH ZONE
Inspector General, National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP), Riffat Mukhtar Raja, conducted an official visit to the South Zone, Karachi, to review ongoing operations and provide strategic directives. Upon his arrival at the Zonal Office, he was warmly welcomed by Additional IG Munir Ahmed Sheikh and DIG Asghar Ali Yousafzai, followed by a formal guard of honor presented by a contingent of NHMP officers. The IG chaired a high-level operational meeting, emphasizing the importance of strict enforcement of traffic laws and improved operational efficiency. During the meeting, he directed:
1. Strict measures against violations of the fast lane on motorways and highways.
2. Zero tolerance for overloaded vehicles on national highways and motorways.
3. Ensuring that overloaded vehicles are prohibited from entry, with legal action initiated          against responsible companies and owners.
4. Strengthening efforts to enhance road safety and security on all national highways.
5. Prioritizing convenience for road users, ensuring professional service delivery.
6. Encouraging field officers to demonstrate the positive impact of NHMP’s professional     standards.
DIG Asghar Ali Yousafzai provided a comprehensive briefing on the operational status and achievements of the South Zone. As a symbolic gesture to promote environmental sustainability, IG NHMP planted a commemorative tree at the Zonal Office premises. This visit underscores the NHMP’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of road safety, security, and service excellence across Pakistan’s.
