101st batch of police recruits pass out at PTC:Brave officers & jawans playingfrontline role against terrorism, says Inspector General Police

QUETTA: The Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Moazzam Jah Ansari has stated that the brave officers and jawans of police play frontline role against terrorism for he pays tributes to them.
The IGP said that the Police department attaches lot of expectations from the recruits and adding exhorted to them to bring the terrorists, kidnappers and other criminals to justice with strong strategy and firm resolve under the command of their officers.
He said that the role and importance of character of police force has increased than past, and nature of internal and external challenges being faced by the force is also quite different. He fully realizes that the police personnels are to serve in hard conditions owing to the responsibilities assigned to them, and they face threats to their lives as well. Several brave officers and jawans have embraced martyrdom while performing their professional duties.
The IGP was addressing the ceremony of parade of 101st batch of recruits at Police Training College here on Wednesday.
Prominent among those attended the passing out parade were the Provincial Minister for Irrigation, Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani, Advisor to Chief Minister, Ms. Meena Majeed Baloch, Commandant of PTC, police high ups and other dignitaries besides the family members of the police cadets.
It may be mentioned here that in all 1689 police personnels passed out in the passing out parade after completion of their professional training.
They were included 385 lady police personnels. Needless to mention here is that it was the biggest batch of the women police personnels passed out from the PTC.
Addressing the passing out parade, IGP praised the high standard of the training of police recruits and appreciated the hard work of PTC Commandant and his team in this regard.
He said that he is pleased to witness the smart turn out and high standard of training of the recruits at passing out.
He said that the policing is a sacred profession, as such the recruits must perform their duties honestly.
He also exhorted them not to harm the sanctity of the uniform they have worn.
The IGP on the occasion congratulated all the jawans who got positions and lady police personnels who passed out from the PTC. He expressed best wishes for them and said that the credit of superb training and excellent passing out goes to the PTC Commandant.
Earlier, the PTC Commandant also addressed the ceremony. He highlighted overall performance of the College besides the issues being faced by it.
Meanwhile, the IGP distributed prizes and commemorative shields to the police recruits on their outstanding performance.
