Gambat Becomes the Voice of Sindh in the Fight for Indus River
Gambat, Sindh – The city of Gambat has made history, emerging as a stronghold of resistance and public consciousness in the battle to protect the Indus River. Thousands of passionate activists and river lovers gathered to oppose the construction of six controversial canals, sending a clear message: Sindh rejects the destruction of its lifeline!
On this occasion, Lateef Shaikh, Zain Shah, Nisar Abro, Ismail Shah, Aleem Adil Shaikh, Rashid Mehmood Soomro, Muzzam Abassi and other prominent voices addressed the gathering, emphasizing that this movement is not just a protest but a defining moment in the struggle for water rights. Speakers highlighted that the Indus River is the backbone of Sindh’s survival, and any attempt to alter its natural flow would be met with fierce resistance.
The rejection of these canals is not merely a political stance—it is a fight for survival. Water is as essential as oxygen, and the people of Sindh refuse to let their river be stolen. This level of awareness is the result of 35 years of tireless education and advocacy by the great revolutionary leader Rasool Bux Palijo, who awakened the masses to the dangers of water theft and environmental destruction.
History has proven that people may perish, but their revolutionary struggle and ideological truth never die. The guardians of Sindh stand firm: No more canals on the Indus! No force can silence this movement!
