Governor Balochistan calls for taking concrete steps to address challenges faced by female lawyers

QUETTA: The Governor of Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has stated that female lawyers not only advocate for their clients but are also paving the way for the future of women, who make up half of our population.

He emphasized the importance of recognizing the hidden potential of women and providing them with support and guidance to help them excel in their careers.

The Governor was speaking to a delegation of female lawyers, who called on him led by Vice President of Quetta Bar Association, Umaira Munir, here on Wednesday.

Jaffar Khan Mandokhail noted that enforcing the five percent quota for women in relevant institutions would significantly boost their participation and representation.

He added that the appointment of the female Ombudsperson for Balochistan would soon be made on merit.

He envisioned a near future where women will be serving as session judges, civil judges, prosecutor generals, and in other key positions within bar associations.

Governor reiterated his support for active female participation in all walks of life.

He stressed the urgent need for concrete measures to address the challenges faced by female lawyers and ensure that their voices are heard so that they can progress and contribute effectively to the development of society.

He expressed satisfaction that women in Balochistan have excelled in every field of life. “They work tirelessly to provide justice to those who need it the most. Their dedication and perseverance in the legal profession serve as a beacon of hope for society. With such commitment and skill, they help bridge the gap between the legal system and the public,” he maintained.
