Police Crackdown Across the District: 29 Drug Dealers Booked, Weapons and Contraband Seized
Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) In a sweeping anti-narcotics operation, district police launched a series of targeted raids across various areas, resulting in the registration of cases against 29 suspected drug dealers. The coordinated efforts led to the recovery of thousands of sachets of gutka, 80 liters of liquor, illegal weapons, mobile phones, a suspicious motorcycle, and Rs. 1,500 in cash.
According to official reports, SHO Nawabad Ahmed Khaskheli, during a patrol with his team, apprehended Sajjad Thaheem and recovered an unlicensed TT pistol and a knife. Similarly, SHO Sanghar, along with his team, seized another unlicensed TT pistol from suspect Shamsuddin Mari.
In a separate operation, SHO Tando Adam Akhtar Hussain arrested a known drug peddler, Amjad Thaheem, recovering 320 packets of gutka, a suspicious motorcycle, a mobile phone, and cash.
Further operations conducted under the leadership of CIA In-Charge Zakir Hussain Solangi and SHOs from various police stations including Shahpur Chakar, Tando Adam, B-Section, Lundo, Sarhari, Peroo Mal, Khipro, Khahi, and Shahdadpur led to the arrest of several individuals. Among the arrested were Ayaz Ahmed, Ghulam Mustafa Rind, Ubaid Makrani, Manji Dahri, Zahoor Ahmed, Rashi Kohli, Lakha Dino, Ramji Kolhi, Abyo Meghwar, Ahmed Ali Thaheem, Noor Hassan, Imran Malik, and Muhammad Saleem Makrani. A total of 7,080 sachets of harmful gutka and 80 liters of liquor were recovered during these actions.
Police officials stated that these operations are part of an ongoing campaign to eliminate drugs and criminal elements from the district. More raids and arrests are expected in the coming days as part of this intensified crackdown.
